Lupo di Mare was founded in 1990 out of a love and respect for the sea and nature. It offers boat and dinghy rental services and organizes pleasant excursions to the islands of Ponza and Palmarola, as well as excursions to the caves and sea stacks and to the eastern coast.

The “Lupo di Mare” boat rental business was born from the idea of Giovanni Dies, a skilled diver in his twenties. Drawing on the experience of his father Salvatore and his uncle Mimì, he and his brother Luigi and cousins started one of the first tourist businesses on the island of Ponza.

The intensification of tourist connections in the 1980s and the development of higher-performance boats that could reach the island prompted Giovanni to create his own company focused on the mooring and rental of small boats and vessels.

Thanks to the help of his wife Rosa and son Salvatore, the business experienced significant growth, boasting a considerable number of boats for rental.

Today, Lupo di Mare boasts 25 boats and is committed to continuously modernizing its fleet and taking care of every detail of its services.

The meeting and reception point is in the center of Ponza’s port on Via Banchina, on the pier in front of the Winspeare Café, right next to the mooring for ships arriving from Formia and Terracina.

The boats range from traditional wooden gozzetti to Capri launches, from dinghies to motorboats, and even Aprea-style Sorrentine gozzi.

The island of Ponza, difficult to reach, rugged and beautiful, suspicious and unpredictable, is listed among the ten most beautiful islands in the world.
